Connectwise Makes Its Inc. 5000 Debut

    ConnectWise, the leading professional services
automation (PSA) software for IT solution providers, this week made its debut
on the second annual Inc. 5000, ranking 709th overall and 49th among
software publishers. Companies are chosen to this prestigious listing of
America’s fastest-growing privately held businesses based on percentage
revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. Connectwise’s revenue grew 482
    percent from 2004 to 2007.

“This distinction reflects the growing adoption of the managed services
business model in the IT Services market and the clear need for establishing
and maintaining highly efficient, automated processes to run them,” noted
Arnie Bellini, ConnectWise CEO. “Because ConnectWise enables our partners
to handle some of the most resource-intensive and time-sensitive aspects of
their operations with unprecedented proficiency, they can pursue high-
growth business opportunities, like managed services, confidently,
    convincingly and competitively.”

“Managed services” represents one of the fastest-growing aspects of the IT
industry, and the rapid growth of ConnectWise and its Professional Services
Automation software is closely linked to this trend. Many IT service providers
are establishing MSP (managed service provider) business models that enable
them to remotely address IT requirements, which significantly reduces
the “cost to serve” for them and their customers. This includes hosting many
network applications and other services with or without extensive technology
infrastructure on site at the respective business locations.

    A YEAR OF HONORS

In addition to being named to the Inc. 5000, ConnectWise was earlier this
year cited as a ‘Company to Watch,’ by VARBusiness magazine. CRN, the
industry’s leading trade magazine, also selected ConnectWise to its highly
acclaimed ‘Emerging Tech 100,’ a list that recognizes technology
manufacturers and software publishers who arm solution providers
with “innovative, easy-to-use technology that undercuts industry giants.”

Members of Tech Data’s (NASDAQ GS: TECD) TechSelect community of IT
solution providers focused on the small-to-midsized business market have
three times recognized ConnectWise as the group’s ‘Most Valuable Affiliate
Partner,’ an award given to companies who share operational insight and
experience that helps them better manage their businesses. Tech Data is a
$21.4 billion distributor of IT products, with more than 90,000 customers in
    over 100 countries.

On a local scale, ConnectWise was identified by the Tampa Bay Business
Journal as one of the Tampa Bay area’s 50 fastest-growing privately held
companies based on annual sales growth from 2004-2007.

    INC. 5000
The Inc. 5000 is an expansion of the Inc. 500, which Inc. introduced in 1982.
While the Inc. 5000 includes Inc. 500 companies, it “digs deeper to offer the
most comprehensive look ever at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S.
    economy.”

To qualify for the list, companies must have been founded and generating
revenue by the first week of 2004. They must also be U.S.-based, privately
held, independent and operating for profit. Subsidiaries or divisions of other
companies are not eligible or considered for the list. Additionally, companies
must have generated revenues of at least $200,000 in 2004 and $2 million in
    2007. Only full- and part-time employees are included as head count;
    independent contractors are not.
