Cisco Canada, Clear Channel Outdoor Canada
and BlueCasting Canada announced today the launch of the first
Bluetooth enabled marketing campaign in Canada at Pearson
International Airport Terminal One in Toronto. Backlit posters fitted
with BlueCastingTM technology are delivering video downloads courtesy of
Cisco Canada to mobile phones and other handheld devices.
Cisco Canada is Clear Channel’s first client to utilize this new
technology with a series of three executions created by Cisco’s
advertising agency OgilvyOne. The campaign continues the human network
story from Cisco and each execution is supported with backlit signage
creative and corresponding BlueCasting video clip. The three poster
locations at Pearson can be found in the RapidAir and Long Haul domestic
departures and in the domestic Luggage Claim area.
“BlueCasting presents a terrific opportunity to engage people with the
Cisco brand,” said Willa Black, director of corporate marketing at Cisco
Canada. “We’re very pleased to work with Clear Channel and BlueCasting
Canada on this campaign in what is a first for Pearson International.”
Bill Brooks, Managing Partner, BlueCasting Canada, commented, “This is
a great way to deliver content to the marketer’s target group. It allows
them to take away the message which could include special offers,
coupons or a valuable piece of information from the advertisers.”
