Best Software today announced general availability of integration between MAS 500 6.3 and the popular shipping software StarShip. Through an agreement with the manufacturer of StarShip, V-Technologies, Best Software now offers StarShip as an add-on module for MAS 500 customers. Already a favorite of customers using Peachtree, MAS 90, MAS 200, BusinessWorks and PFW by Best Software, StarShip provides a comprehensive shipping solution for small to mid-sized businesses and supports all leading shipping carriers—resulting in improved logistics management for those businesses.
The StarShip Link allows customer information such as names, addresses, and e-mail addresses for shipments to flow directly from MAS 500 into the StarShip system. On the other side, the link writes shipping charges and the primary carrier package tracking number into MAS 500 for each shipment. StarShip can create substantial savings by providing rate shopping among leading shipping carriers so that businesses can identify the most economical shipping method for themselves and their customers. StarShip also supports third-party parcel insurance coverage and international package shipping.
