Cross-platform management of different devices and the protection of company data against attacks are today's challenges for IT administrators. This way, Baramundi Management Suite can now be used to easily and securely deploy company certificates to mobile devices using the Simple Certificate Enrolment Protocol (SCEP). These certificates serve to safeguard communication between mobile devices and company services using a unique, reliable identifier. New versions of mobile operating systems Android, iOS, and Windows Phone can be managed with Baramundi Management Suite as soon as they appear on the market.

For companies, the introduction of a new operating system often creates a huge challenge. The Baramundi Management Suite enables computers in a company network to be switched to a current Windows version simply and securely. IT administrators have to manage hardware-related device characteristics in addition to software. For this reason, Baramundi created a solution in cooperation with Fujitsu that also allows BIOS-level management on Fujitsu clients. When taking an inventory of devices, the BIOS settings are displayed, for instance whether Wake-on-LAN is enabled. Using prepared tasks, BIOS settings can also be defined, for example the boot order can be changed, USB ports locked, or the firmware updated.
