Atari announced, in advance of the worldwide launch of Pridefest, a new mobile game designed to celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) equality, the game will be available on Friday, September 25th in Canada for a limited-time test launch.   The test launch will offer fans the opportunity to play the game before anyone else and provide feedback to the development team.

Available for $1.19 (CAN) on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, the first-of-its-kind social-simulation game empowers players to create personalized Pride parades, spread cheer and color throughout their city, and connect and interact with other players.

With the goal of restoring your city to its former glory, Pridefest encourages players to spread pride and joy as they level-up and work to complete various quests. By completing challenges and playing mini-games, players can turn buildings from dull to colorful, unlock new parade routes and portions of their city, and earn coins to use.  Even better with friends, Pridefest is packed with rich social features that encourage players to chat, run parades in and visit each other's cities, and invite friends to stay in their city after a new residence is built.

Pridefest is developed in partnership with Mad Marshmallow and will be available in Canada first on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.  The global release including an Android version will launch in the coming months.
