Apple has released an updated edition of their Safari web browser.
Apple Safari 5.0.1 now comes with extension support enabled by default.
Apple has also launched their official Safari Extensions Gallery.
The company said that all the extensions for Safari would be signed digitally by them to ensure that they are safe for public.
Apple did not reveal what kind of a check they have in place to verify newly submitted extensions.
They have also fixed some bugs and security vulnerabilities in this version so if you are using Safari 4 or 5, it is a good time to update to the latest version.
