Apple is shipping the just launched MacBook Air laptops with a USB drive they call software reinstall drive.
This is pretty cool and useful considering the machine does not feature an optical drive so reinstalling Mac OS X can be a major problem.
The USB drive would ensure that the reinstall is as painless as using a disc in a Mac with a DVD drive.
The disk comes with the installers for both Mac OS X and iLife suite.
