Apple has posted a support document on their website related to the much talked about Mac OS X malware Mac Defender.
The company has provided details on how to avoid installing this malware and what to do if you manage to install it anyways.
Apple has been facing criticism for doing little to support people who suffered from this malware.
A lot of complaints were seen on the official Apple Support forum. There were reports that the company representatives were told not to provide support on the phone because of the complexity of the problem.
This support document would be a great help though we hope Apple provides some vaccine type application which can do it all in an automated fashion.
Apple might use this malware as an excuse to start asking people to stick to the Mac App Store for app installs in the future.
