Hybrid cloud data protection and storage vendor Acronis has overhauled its channel program with new themes around value and a new incentive base for the channel.
Acronis has made this new program for solution providers as well as distributors. The strategy behind this new plan is to drive deeper engagements with the channel and in return, the company intends to increase profitability for partners.
Called the Acronis Partner Program, it will reward channel partners with increased deal registration rates and rebates to support accelerated sales and market share of Acronis. The program also provides marketing development funds (MDFs) to partners who are committed to growing together with Acronis and gives free licenses to all partners.
Channel partners who plan to support this new program should also expect to be displayed on partner locator, exclusive channel promotions, free sales and technical training and phone/chat support.
There are three tiers to this revamped program. They are:
- Authorized;
- Gold; and
- Platinum.
Pat Hurley, GM of Acronis Americas, said the partner program ensures those resellers and distributors, who are at the core of the business, have a state-of-the-art program that gives them a process for increasing margin and profits. Previously, the company had various incentives for various products, including margin, rebates, deal registration and accelerators. Now Acronis is making it simple and straight forward with margins and rebates based on the level of partner in the program.
This news comes off the heels of Acronis big partnership announcement with Google. Earlier this Month, Acronis announced a new strategic partnership with Google Cloud, revealing plans to enhance Acronis backup solutions by integrating with Google Cloud Platform. Google Cloud Platform will be integrated into future releases of Acronis’ backup, disaster recovery, and file sync and share solutions.
The new agreement is intended to increase the number of cloud regions where Acronis’ partners and customers can store their data. The partnership is to also address data sovereignty options for users in a greater number of countries.
