Absolute Software the industry standard for persistent endpoint security and management solutions for computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones, has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2013 certification for its production IT operations for customers.
ISO 27001:2013 is the international standard developed specifically for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), requiring that a company uses a systematic approach to managing sensitive information and ensuring data security. A comprehensive ISMS solution demonstrates an organization's ability to manage and control information security risks, while maintaining the integrity and privacy of data.
Absolute Software had previously held certification for ISO 27001:2005, which was superseded by ISO 27001:2013.
This most recent ISO 27001:2013 certification for Absolute Software was conducted by BSI Group and recognizes the company's implementation of an effective information security system that complies with one of the most stringent standards, meeting the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an ISMS infrastructure.
"Given the nature of our business and our expertise in information and endpoint security, our customers hold us to the highest standards," said Phil Gardner, Chief Technology Officer at Absolute Software. "Achieving the latest ISO certification allows us to validate our internal approach to security and demonstrate to our customers and partners how serious we are about protecting their information."
