MetaQuotes Software Corp., a global leader in the market of trading platforms for retail Forex, released on Monday a new version of the MetaTrader 5 Mobile Terminal for iPhone.
The new MetaTrader 5 iPhone provides mobile traders with an exciting possibility to track price dynamics in the real time mode. The MetaTrader 5 iPhone (http://www.metatrader5.com/en/mobile-trading/iphone) now supports full-fledged charts for all financial instruments that are available for smartphones and tablet PCs, unlike the previous version in which only trade operations were available. Now, in addition to the current quote, traders can see previous values as well, facilitating more accurate and faster trading decisions with the help of up-to-date price analysis.
“While other developers offer traders only a static screenshot of a price chart, we provide interactive charting with different periods, visualization modes and scaling. It’s much harder to implement, but it gives traders important opportunities and opens up the key perspective for us,” said Renat Fatkhullin, the CEO of MetaQuotes Software Corp.
“In the next version, we will add a powerful analytical functionality, so traders will have the maximum information in their pocket,” Fatkhullin added.
The mobile graphical system is very similar to the charting of the MetaTrader 4 (http://www.metatrader4.com/) and MetaTrader 5 (http://www.metatrader5.com/en/) desktop terminals; hence customers can spare the time required for getting used to a new system. Quotes are shown as a sequence of bars, Japanese candlesticks or a line. The MetaTrader 5 iPhone supports minute as well as daily timeframes, enabling traders to assess the influence of various market trends. A total of 2,000 to 4,000 bars can be shown on a chart, which is equal to 5-10 years of price history.
MetaQuotes Software believes that a substantial group of traders will soon migrate from online trading to the mobile one. We assume that such migration will happen within the next three to five years. That is why the company has chosen mobile trading as one of its priorities. MetaTrader 5 iPhone is the first mobile application developed in accordance with this concept. In addition, MetaQuotes is developing a terminal for another popular mobile platform – Android OS, the release of which is scheduled for May 2011.
