The world's first live web broadcast of the great wildebeest migration goes 'live' today from the Masai Mara, Kenya. Broadcast via the Periscope App (https://www.periscope.tv) and YouTube Live Streaming viewers will be able to experience the wonders of safari and the 7th wonder of the natural world on their mobile phones, tablets or computers for a whole week.
The wildebeest migration is a major event in Kenya and the Mara's ecosystem, and one of the most unique wildlife experiences on the planet. The live broadcast will allow people all over the world to get a taste of its magnificence, and to experience the true luxury experience of staying in the Mara and viewing nature at its very best.
Broadcast by the HerdTracker team in partnership with MarkeithKenya.com viewers will be taken on a one-week journey to experience the magic of safari, with two daily broadcasts each morning and evening. Join the team on their game drives, witness the phenomenon of river crossings, learn about the wildlife of the great plains of Kenya and find out more about life in the Masai Mara from special guests each evening.

Your safari hosts will be Carel Verhoef and Andre Van Kets of FiscoverAfrica.com and co-creators of the HerdTracker migration app. HerdTracker allows people to track the migration in real time on a Google Map throughout the year to identify the best time of year to see the great migration.
Carel has lived and guided safaris in East Africa for 12 years and each morning he will introduce to you the day's safari plan, what you as a guest on safari can hope and expect to see, and an insight into the in-lodge experience before heading out on safari.
The broadcast has been made possible by two safari lodges in the Mara Reserve and Mara Triangle: Governor's Camp from Governor's Camp Collection; & andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp. You will be provided with a sneak preview into each camp through interviews with lodge managers, safari guides, chefs, conservationists and wildlife photographers providing a unique insight into life in the Masai Mara.
Each evening you will join the team as they review photos, videos and chat to guests who are on holiday about their safari experience, joined by a 'special' guest each evening. During the week, you will also be able to join them as they take to the sky for the ultimate view on safari, flying over the Mara plains in a hot air balloon.
