Telecom giant Rogers Communications (TSX:RCI-B.TO – News) says it is suffering a wireless outage across the country.
Rogers say the outage is affecting voice and some text messaging service, but says data services do not appear to be affected.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Kett said in an email that Rogers apologizes for the inconvenience, adding that the company is working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Kett says customers with wireless carrier Fido, Rogers' lower-priced label, also are being affected by the service outage.
The official Rogers company website was also down.
Rogers has about 10 million wireless customers across Canada.
