Sony has announced that the new firmware update for their PS3 gaming console is coming out on September 21.
This update would add support for 3D playing capabilities on the device.
3D support would be available on compatible movie discs. There are a very few options available to customers right now but it’s a good beginning.
Gamers would of course also need to have a 3D television to enjoy this latest functionality offered on the PS3 gaming console.
PS3 rivals in the market Wii and Xbox 360 do not this functionality yet.
Sony is also likely to launch some games supporting 3D capabilities in the near future now that the console support is enabled.
