NetApps has stated that Internet Explorer 8 has now become the most popular web browser on the web.
This is largely attributed to the declining Windows XP user base as more people are migrating to Windows 7.
The recent security fiasco with Internet Explorer 6 has also encouraged more users to switch to other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
The report further said that Windows 7 now has a 10% market share.
Internet Explorer 6 is now the second most popular web browser on the web as per the report.
