IT Glue Announces the Acquisition of Monkey Box

IT Glue is excited to announce the acquisition of Monkey Box. The founder of Monkey Box, Luis Giraldo, joins IT Glue as VP, Product, effective immediately.

This latest acquisition brings a talented IT veteran into IT Glue to drive our product team forward. Luis was the CEO of Monkey Box and, working with one developer, was able to handle sales, development and customer service roles simultaneously. His depth and breadth of experience is going to be a tremendous asset to IT Glue.

Monkey Box is a documentation and collaboration platform, created in 2013. Giraldo has over a decade of experience in the MSP space, and worked for IT Glue CEO Chris Day at Fully Managed prior to starting Monkey Box. The acquisition brings Giraldo full circle, in a way.

One of the major initiatives for IT Glue this year is the development of a full Product team, and Giraldo’s arrival will help with that. The Product team will work closely with our developers and our partners in order to bring about a better IT Glue experience, increasing our responsiveness and charting an aggressive course for future development initiatives.

Chris Day, CEO of IT Glue, sees this as another step towards documentation excellence:

“I’m thrilled to have Luis Giraldo join the IT Glue executive leadership team. “As an MSP industry veteran with rich experience in both documentation and software-as-a-service, Luis brings valuable expertise to IT Glue’s product development and company as a whole. The experience he brings is going to allow us to build out our product in ways that our partners are going to love.”

Giraldo had this to say about joining IT Glue:

“With a mature documentation offering, IT Glue is on an amazing trajectory of delivering industry-leading features and functionality far beyond Monkey Box’s means. I’m thrilled for the opportunities this role can help me create for our partners, as I become part of a stellar leadership team to take IT Glue into the future.”
