DSP Group teams up with Media5 and MERA to deliver a SoC with a comprehensive platform and telephony SDK

Media5 a complete voice and video application. It will be powered by the Media5-fone Client running on the Android OS based DVF1100 platform during the CES 2017, in Las Vegas (U.S.), from January 5 to 8.

Through its SIP SDKs, the leading provider of IP-based multimedia communication solutions, Media5, enables developers to create rich feature applications, including HD Voice and Video calls with echo cancellation and strong jitter buffer. They also allow a great level of customisation to meet ODM manufactures and technology developers' needs, increasing productivity and accelerating time-to-market.

Aiming to bring even more agility to this project, DSP Group has involved MERA, based on its expertise in Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Unified Communications and Mobile Application development. 

With a wide knowledge in a large variety of platforms and technologies, MERA and Media5's contributions were essential to enable a high performance, yet affordable product. The DVF1100 provides superb HD and Ultra-HD voice quality with advanced algorithms, voice codecs, and state-of-the-art Acoustical Echo Cancellation (AEC).
